Bali Private Driver Tour: One Driver, One Car, Your Own Route
A Bali private driver tour gives you an English-speaking driver, an air-conditioned car, and a route built around you — Ubud rice terraces, Uluwatu sunsets, East Bali temples, or North Bali waterfalls. Full-day charters run IDR 600,000–900,000 as of 2026. Pick a route below or message us on WhatsApp.
Premium fleet — Innova Zenix, Alphard, Denza D9 — operated by Bali Premium Trip; standard-car charters via vetted licensed partners. Rates shown are full-day charter ranges as of 2026; your final quote is confirmed on WhatsApp before you book.
Private driver vs. ride-hailing vs. self-drive
How a full-day charter stacks up against the two ways most visitors get around Bali.
| What you get | Private driver tour | Ride-hailing apps | Self-drive |
|---|---|---|---|
| Route control | One car all day; add or skip stops on your schedule | New driver every leg; pickups restricted in some tourist zones | Full control, but you handle navigation and parking |
| Full-day cost | IDR 600,000–900,000 flat as of 2026 | Adds up per trip; waiting time at sights not covered | Rental plus fuel, parking, and any damage excess |
| Local knowledge | Driver times stops to beat crowds and suggests warungs | None — point A to point B only | Guidebooks and guesswork |
| Waiting at stops | Driver waits at every temple, terrace, and waterfall | No waiting; you rebook each leg from a signal-poor car park | You keep an eye on your own vehicle |
Pick a route, keep the whole day
Every tour below is a private charter: your group only, hotel pickup included, stops adjusted on the road.

Uluwatu Sunset
Clifftop temple, Kecak fire dance timing, and the Bukit's beaches before dark.

A long full day to Sekumpul, Banyumala, and the quiet north coast.
East Bali Temples
Lempuyang, Tirta Gangga, and Besakih with early starts to skip the queues.
Nusa Dua Family Day

Instagram Photo Route

Custom Itineraries
Your day, drawn on our map
No two trips out of Seminyak, Sanur, or Canggu need the same day. Tell your driver you want Tirta Empul before the crowds, lunch in Sidemen, and a beach club by five — that becomes the route. Bali Premium Trip pairs you with one driver for the whole day, so plans can change at any stop without renegotiating fares or rebooking cars.

Full-day charter rates
Standard cars arranged through vetted licensed partners fall inside the same full-day band as of 2026 — fuel, parking, and driver meals included; entrance tickets paid at each site. Our own premium fleet (Innova Zenix from $165, Alphard, Denza D9) is quoted separately per car.
| Route | Hours | Typical stops | Full-day charter |

Your private driver questions — answered
How much does a Bali private driver tour cost?
Full-day charters run IDR 600,000–900,000 as of 2026, depending on route distance and vehicle. That covers the car, driver, fuel, and parking for your group — not per person. Entrance tickets and meals are extra, and luxury vehicles are quoted separately.
Is the driver also a guide?
Our drivers are experienced hosts, not licensed guides: they speak English, explain where you are, time stops to avoid crowds, and wait at every site. For temples that require a licensed local guide inside, they help you arrange one at the gate.
What is included in the rate?
An air-conditioned private car, an English-speaking driver, fuel, parking, and hotel pickup and drop-off in the main southern Bali and Ubud areas. Entrance fees, meals, and activity tickets are paid on the spot at each stop.
How do I book?
Message Bali Premium Trip on WhatsApp with your date, pickup area, and the route you want. We confirm the price and driver in writing before you commit — no deposit apps, no prepayment to a stranger's account.
Can I change the itinerary on the day?
Yes. Because you charter the car for the day, you can add, skip, or reorder stops with your driver as you go. Big detours that add hours or cross the island may adjust the quote, and your driver will tell you before driving there.
Plan your private driver day today
Send your date, pickup point, and wish-list on WhatsApp. Bali Premium Trip replies with a route, a fixed full-day quote in the IDR 600,000–900,000 band as of 2026, and your driver's details — confirmed in writing before you pay anything.
Most driver sites sell a vague “custom itinerary.” This one works like a route atlas. Every page below maps one specific circuit: the stops in driving order, honest timings between them, and the 2026 rate band for that exact loop. Pick your area, trace the line, and send the route straight to WhatsApp.
Which route should you drive first?
Eleven mapped circuits cover the island. Ubud and the South suit a first day; East and North Bali reward a second, longer day on the road.
| Route | Area | Signature stops | Typical day |
|---|---|---|---|
| [Ubud Full-Day Route](/ubud-full-day-tour/) | Central Bali | Tegallalang terraces, Tirta Empul, coffee farm, Campuhan Ridge | 8–10 hrs |
| [Uluwatu & South Beaches Route](/uluwatu-sunset-tour/) | Bukit Peninsula | Uluwatu Temple, Padang Padang, Melasti, Jimbaran sunset | 8–10 hrs |
| [East Bali Gates of Heaven Route](/east-bali-temple-tour/) | Karangasem | Lempuyang, Tirta Gangga water palace, Taman Ujung | 10–12 hrs |
| [North Bali Waterfall Route](/north-bali-waterfall-tour/) | Buleleng | Sekumpul, Banyumala, Handara Gate, Lovina | 10–12 hrs |
| Kintamani Volcano Route | Bangli highlands | Mount Batur viewpoints, Penglipuran village | 8–10 hrs |
| Bedugul & Jatiluwih Route | Central highlands | Ulun Danu Beratan, Jatiluwih terraces, twin lakes | 8–10 hrs |
| Tanah Lot Sunset Route | Tabanan coast | Taman Ayun, rice-road backlanes, Tanah Lot at golden hour | 5–8 hrs |
| Sidemen Valley Route | East Bali inland | Sidemen valley, Bukit Cinta viewpoint, weaving villages | 8–10 hrs |
| Half-Day Charter | Any single area | 4–5 focused hours around your hotel’s region | 4–5 hrs |
| [Multi-Day Charter](/multi-day-bali-itinerary-one-driver/) | Island-wide | Same driver across 2–5 days, routes chained in sequence | Per day |
| [Airport Transfer](/airport-transfer-tour-combo/) | DPS arrivals | Meet at arrivals, fixed per-direction rate | 1–2 hrs |
Chain them across a stay: Ubud on day one, the South beaches on day two, then one long East or North day once you know the island’s rhythm. Multi-day charters keep the same driver throughout and average IDR 450,000–800,000 per day as of 2026.
What does the fixed daily rate include?
Bali’s charter convention is consistent across 2025–2026 transport guides, and every route on this site follows it.
Included in the daily rate:
- Air-conditioned private vehicle — priced per car, never per person
- Licensed local driver at the wheel for the full window
- Fuel, parking fees, and road tolls
Paid separately:
- Entrance tickets (Lempuyang, Tirta Gangga, Jatiluwih, and similar sites)
- Meals for your group along the route
- Extra hours beyond the included day: IDR 50,000–150,000 per hour depending on the operator; traveler reports from 2024–2025 most often cite IDR 100,000
What do the routes run in 2026?
The bands below come from 2025–2026 market guides and traveler reports, and they cluster tightly: one 2026 transport guide lists full days at IDR 500,000–900,000, a standard 8 AM–6 PM service page at IDR 500,000–800,000, and 2024–2025 traveler reports settle around IDR 650,000–750,000. Every figure is per car, current as of 2026, and subject to change; USD conversions are rounded approximations, not fixed rates.
| Route or service | Hours | 2026 band (IDR, per car) | ≈ USD |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ubud full day (temples, terraces, coffee farm) | 8–10 | 700,000–900,000 | 45–58 |
| Uluwatu & South beaches (Padang Padang, Jimbaran) | 8–10 | 650,000–850,000 | 42–55 |
| East Bali circuit (Tirta Gangga, Lempuyang) | 10–12 | 900,000–1,200,000 | 58–77 |
| North Bali (Lovina, waterfall belt) | 10–12 | 1,200,000–1,500,000 | 77–96 |
| Half-day charter | 4–5 | 300,000–500,000 | 19–32 |
| Multi-day charter, per day | 8–10 | 450,000–800,000 | 29–51 |
| Airport transfer, per direction | 1–2 | 200,000–400,000 | 13–26 |
Airport runs sit at roughly IDR 200,000–300,000 to Kuta or Seminyak and IDR 350,000–400,000 to Amed, Candidasa, or Sanur. Notice the pattern in the long routes, too: operators consistently advise adding IDR 200,000–400,000 per day above South Bali rates for North or East Bali. That premium is distance and drive time, not season — Sekumpul is simply a long way from Seminyak.
Bali Premium Trip Fleet Rates (USD) — as of 2026
The ranges elsewhere on this page are market bands — what Bali operators typically charge. The table below is different: these are our own rates for our fleet, operated by Bali Premium Trip, quoted per car in USD with a professional English-speaking driver, fuel, and parking included. Entrance tickets and meals are excluded. A full day runs 8–10 hours.
| Vehicle | Class | Full day (8–10h) | Airport transfer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Innova Zenix | Executive MPV | $165 | $65 |
| Toyota Alphard | VIP Luxury MPV | $470 | $210 |
| Denza D9 | Electric Luxury MPV | $750 | $295 |
Two tiers, two price bands: standard cars arranged through vetted licensed partners run IDR 600,000–900,000 (about USD 38–58) per full day as of 2026, while the premium fleet in the table above — our own vehicles, operated by Bali Premium Trip — starts at $165 per day.
For a VIP driver tour, the Toyota Alphard is our default choice — pilot captain seats, privacy glass, and a suited chauffeur. The Denza D9 is the upgrade: the same VIP seating in a fully electric, near-silent, zero-emission cabin. Half-day rates (up to 5 hours): Innova $105 · Alphard $285 · Denza D9 $450. Multi-day rates (3+ consecutive days, per day): Innova $150 · Alphard $420 · Denza D9 $675. See every vehicle on the luxury car driver tour page.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many hours does a Bali private driver tour last?
A standard full day runs 8–10 hours, commonly 8 AM to 6 PM. Half-day charters cover 4–5 hours, and long-distance North or East Bali loops stretch to 10–12 hours, quoted at IDR 700,000–1,000,000 in 2026 guides. Hours beyond the agreed window bill at IDR 50,000–150,000 each depending on the operator, so fix your finish time when you confirm the route.
Is a Bali private driver tour priced per person or per car?
Per car, always. The 2026 full-day band of IDR 600,000–900,000 covers the whole vehicle, so a solo traveler and a family of four in the same class pay the same rate. What moves the number is vehicle size: a compact SUV averages about USD 45 per day, a six-to-seven-seat minivan about USD 55, and an eight-seat van or premium SUV about USD 75.
Can I change the route once the day has started?
Yes — a private charter buys the car and the hours, not a locked itinerary, so reordering or swapping stops inside the same area is routine. Jumping to a different region mid-day adds real drive time and can push you into extra-hour billing at IDR 50,000–150,000 per hour, so message bigger changes to the concierge on WhatsApp before pickup.
Why are North and East Bali routes quoted above Ubud rates?
Distance and drive time, not season. 2025–2026 pricing guides put the East Bali circuit with Tirta Gangga and Lempuyang at IDR 900,000–1,200,000, and North Bali trips to Lovina and the waterfall belt at IDR 1,200,000–1,500,000 — operators consistently advise budgeting IDR 200,000–400,000 per day above South Bali rates for these loops because they run 10–12 hours and cover far more road.
